“What is your favourite music?” is the question I am asked most & it is extremely difficult to answer because I like such a huge mix of styles & my tastes change over time. But to break it down to a simple sound byte I grew up with jazz & lounge, got into punk & new wave in my teens, discovered house music in the 80’s, spun lots of acid jazz, UK club & brit pop in the 90’s & now I’m enjoying electronic, deep house, minimal techno & indie rock..

Music is my passion. I am a frustrated musician - which is why I became a DJ. One day I will learn to play something. In the meantime I constantly explore new music.

Travel is my other passion. I am a frustrated pilot - so going anywhere in a 747 is my favourite journey.

I have explored some amazing places and done some (slightly) adventurous things including safari in Zimbabwe, parasailing in Thailand, ballooning in Australia, learning bongo’s & skinnydipping (not at the same time unfortunately) in Cuba, snowboarding with popstars in Japan, floating on the Mekong in Cambodia, playing with snakes and monkeys in Singapore, playing with iguanas in Mexico, braving the surf in Hawaii, exploring haunted mansions in Hong Kong, dining on a cliffside in Bali, haggling on the street in Shanghai & enjoying the good life in London, Paris, Amsterdam & Tuscany..

I love to explore Tokyo on my bicycle, explore Japan in my car, get in onsen hot water, swim, eat good food, drink good red wine & nihonshu, write adventure & comedy stories, watch indie films, draught maps for imaginary cities, discuss philosophy, study family history, stargaze, daydream, meditate..
