Friday, July 23rd, 2010It was a hot & steamy evening in Tokyo but we were transported to a British summer’s day at the Ambassador’s residence of the British Embassy for a premium event with Virgin Atlantic Airways, Dunhill, HSBC, Jaguar & Range Rover Motors. The wine was flowing from Berry Bros. & Rudd and canapes were served from Gordon Ramsay at the Conrad Hotel. Illustrator Jack McLean sketched the evening & I DJ’d a rare set of English classical music, 1920’s jazz & smooth soul..

Friday, July 23rd, 2010I discovered Noh performance group Kami Asobi at the Whiky Live 2009 event in Tokyo where they performed a spectacular piece inspired by a whisky god!! They’ve also performed across Europe in the past year & are performing a new piece on Friday 2010.7.23 at the National Noh Theatre in Sendagaya, Tokyo. magazine GLASS, and the magazine’s new Summer “Rapture†issue, this night
will be a special collaboration of music, art, and summer festivity.
Acknowledging many interpretations of the term “rapture,†shoe designer
Manolo Blahnik provides his definition for Glass magazine- “Rapture is “a
flash of pleasure, being delighted in the moment of something that you are
experiencing.â€
Along with fantastic music from beloved and amazing DJs Guy Perryman
(InterFM) and Kaori (Lady Something Different), we welcome globally
renowned French tenor Matthieu Sachot, who will grace us with a very
special opera performance, not to be missed.
Acclaimed French-Colombian glass artist Pablo Posada Pernikoff will
prepare a never-been-seen-before exhibition of stunning photography he has
done recently of his beautiful and surreal glass sculptures.
